Bob Higgs has served as pastor of CPC since August 2019. He has had a varied career in ministry, working with churches and nonprofits in Elizabeth and Atlantic City, NJ as well as congregations in the Pittsburgh area and Philadelphia. Bob began his ministry in Zambia, Africa, pastoring an international congregation in the capital Lusaka. Bob was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Botswana and worked in South Africa on Social Justice issues during 194 elections which ended apartheid. Bob is married to Kelly and they have three sons, Andrew, Justin, and Christian. He holds a BA and MBA from the University of Virginia as well as an Mdiv and Dmin from Princeton Theological Seminary. Bob enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring new technologies.

Catherine Lavell is a graduate of The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She has been a part of church services since she began in the youth choir and has enjoyed growing her relationship with the church as an adult accompanying and singing services across New Jersey and Philadelphia. One of the highlights of Catherine’s music ministry was when she participated in the Papal Choir during Pope Francis’s visit to Philadelphia in 2015. Catherine teaches music full time to elementary students in South Jersey and private students across the area.
